The Part-time Professional School Counselor provides direction and support students enrolled in and seeking to enroll in the adult high school. This involves responsible planning, day-to-day management, and monitoring including but not limited to working with students, school faculty and staff, parents, and guardians. Plans, implements, and tracks individual high school graduation plans and post-graduation data; identifying and resolving barriers to graduation; assisting with college and career choices and planning; and facilitating college and/or career transition. Serves as liaison between the Project Graduation program and postsecondary entities to explore new and/or innovative directions.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required. Three (3) years related experience required. Seven (7) years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Master's degree and experience with educational technology preferred.
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
